Key Highlights & Achievements
- Core Skills Building: Participants gained practical skills in budgeting, product pricing, record-keeping, and enterprise financial planning. Pre- and post-training evaluations showed significant growth in financial confidence and understanding.
- Digital Financial Security: The workshop raised awareness on fraud prevention and delivered hands-on mobile banking training (MBoB and MPAY) to enhance safe digital transactions.
- Sustainable Savings: To foster long-term financial discipline, the cohort established a formal savings group, committing to save Nu. 50–100 monthly starting June 2026.
This initiative marks a vital step toward long-term economic empowerment, stronger income management, and financial independence for local women micro-entrepreneurs.
SABAH Bhutan Expands Kit-Making with Creative Colour Combinations
SABAH Bhutan trained 4 women HBWs (Master weavers) in kit-making with a strong focus on creative colour coordination, contemporary designs, and keeping products aligned with current market and fashion trends for 3 days in June 2026. The HBWs are engaged in assembling kits with carefully selected colour combinations and patterns to ensure the finished products are attractive, consistent, and market-ready. This approach allows SABAH to make better use of local skills while continuously adapting product designs to changing consumer preferences and emerging textile trends.
